She may be handing you the pin, but please don’t burst Alexis Lynn’s bubble.
The pop/R&B singer has just released her latest single and it is all about feeling safe and comfortable inside your own personal ‘bubble’ while preparing yourself for it to be burst.
Released Friday, “Bubble” is the singer’s latest single, following empowerment anthem “I Can’t Relate,” from earlier this summer.
Describing the perfect beginnings to a new relationship, “Bubble” explains the fragile phase of a relationship that takes place right before things turn serious and feelings are put at risk of being hurt.
A fun, up-beat and dreamy pop track, “Bubble” warns the singer’s new lover that she is handing over the keys to her heart- or in this case, a pin to burst her bubble- while asking them not to destroy it.
A lesson in trust and honesty inspired by her own journey to love, Lynn says she hopes the track helps listeners follow their hearts and realize that sometimes breaking down your protective walls isn’t as bad as you fear.
“I want you to realize that tearing down that wall can allow for amazing things to happen. It’s always going to feel safe inside of your little bubble, but change happens when you step out of it or let someone into it,” the singer shared. “Vulnerability opens you up to so many feelings of love, lust, friendship, deeper understanding, and connection.”
Alongside the track’s debut the singer also released a brand new music video, showcasing just what her perfect relationship “bubble” looks like. Starring Lynn and model PJ Robinson, the video shows off several cute dates decked out with monochromatic color schemes, giving the track and video an added dream-like flair.
