Asking Alexandria are up to something, and are leaving it to fans to figure out what that “something” is.

Earlier this afternoon the British rockers tweeted out a cryptic message, along with a video of a TV screen, telling fans to “Call +1424-373-VLNC” along with the hashtag #theviolence.

The video, which is of a static filled television screen telling fans to call the same number listed in the tweet, has no sound other than an emergency alarm.

And if this wasn’t eerie enough, the band took it one step further.

Once fans call the number, they are sent to an automated machine telling them that they will be placed on a brief hold. Then, a heavy guitar riff begins, and for about ten seconds what we can only assume is part of a new Asking Alexandria song begins to play.

But before any vocals come in, the automated voice quickly cuts off the track and gives fans a warning.

“Close the door. Stay Inside. Stay Alert,” the voice says. “The Violence is coming. You will hear from us shortly.”

Whether this is an album or just a new song we are unsure- but one thing is for sure. Fans are thrilled, albeit concerned.
