While the world is seemingly upside down amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the music industry has not stopped producing great music. And today’s releases are no exception.

Especially the new release from Massachusetts’ own: Awnthay.

Earlier this morning the Somerville based rock band released their debut album “on·they” – named after the phonetic spelling of their band’s name.

Featuring eight new songs alongside the previously released “Meal Deal,” “on·they” is the band’s first full length release, and is their most dynamic so far.

With frontman John Iacovino’s unique vocals, along with engaging guitar riffs and groovy basslines throughout each track, Awnthay are ready to make their way onto your daily playlist.

Awnthay

Awnthay is a five piece band consisting of lead vocalist Iacovino, bassist Lucas McCain, guitarists Corey Spingel and Oscar Zelayandia, and drummer Patrick Walles.

After releasing their debut EP “Silence” in February of 2018, the band took some time to re-find their sound amidst lineup changes and work on side projects.

But now, after two single releases over the past year and a half, the band are back with new music, new sounds and are ready to take the alternative rock world by storm.

You can stream “on·they” now, wherever you stream music, and be sure to follow the band’s Facebook page to stay up to date on all new releases and shows.
