BANNERS is continuing on his path to being one of the top hitmakers of the year this weekend with the release of his new single “If I Didn’t Have You.”
Following the extremely popular “Someone To You” which originally dropped in 2019 but found mainstream international success over the past year, “If I Didn’t Have You” is another banger of a release that helps remind us to appreciate all of the people in our lives.
Released this past Friday, “If I Didn’t Have You” is an ode to the people in our lives that help keep us together in the darkest of times.
Inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions put in place that limited traveling and seeing family/friends, the track is an anthemic, grandiose indie rock song that uses a steady beat to create an almost cinematic feeling. Amplifying the emotion being the lyrics, BANNERS uses the single to show appreciation and express gratitude in a way that has us all feeling extremely grateful that despite what is happening in the world- we still have friends and family by our sides.
“This pandemic should serve as a reminder of what we are all capable of individually and as a collective. We’ve all looked after one another, kept each other going. It’s shown me what’s important and what isn’t,” BANNERS shares. “The things that I could live without and the things I truly need that maybe I didn’t appreciate properly. The people, the hugs, the kisses. The people.”
