Black Satellite are embracing their inner dark side with the release of their first new track in nearly two years.

This past Friday, the band made fans rejoice with the debut of “Void”- a hard rock track that navigates feelings of uncertainty while acknowledging that something isn’t quite right internally.

As the first single to be released from Black Satellite’s upcoming sophomore album “Aftermath,” “Void” gives fans a look both into what to expect from the album, and into the inner workings of the band’s minds- including how they process mental health care.

“The concept behind ‘Void’ is realizing you’re not heading in the right direction mentally and allowing yourself to be devoured by your darkness anyway, and almost relishing in it,” The band shared. “There’s a certain kind of beauty to be found in even the darkest parts of the psyche.”

Featuring powerful, gritty vocals on behalf of vocalist Larissa Vale, alongside epic rock guitar riffs from Kyle Hawken, and guest drums by Luke Holland, “Void” showcases band’s raw talent in addition to their unique sound.

And with both the new track and their upcoming album being mixed by famed hard rock producer Ben Grosse, fans can rest assured that all future Black Satellite releases are not going to let them down when it comes to staying alt rock and ahead of the trends.

Black Satellite was formed by longtime friends Vale and Hawken after years of making music together. Based in New York City, the band made their official debut in 2017 alongside the release of their first single “Valkyrie.”

That same year, the duo released their debut album “Endless,” garnering rave reviews throughout the rock and alternative scenes, and subsequently securing themselves slots opening for Starset, in addition to their upcoming fall tour with Fozzy.

You can stream “Void” now, and be sure to follow Black Satellite on social media to catch up on all upcoming album news.
