If you have ever been to a Bring Me The Horizon show and hoped that one day the band would walk out and hit you with an “Anyway, here’s Wonderwall,” today is your lucky day.
As part of Spotify’s Spotify Single program, the British rockers recently took to the studio to put their own spin on the 1995 Oasis classic.
Turning what is best known as a stripped back anthem into a full band rock track, hinted with classic BMTH metal flair, the track officially hit went live January 29th and has already amassed a near 2.5 million streams.
Started in 2016 as a way for artists to show off their own singles along with paying homage to their own musical heroes, Spotify’s Spotify Singles series has attracted hundreds of artists over their nine year run. With releases from artist such as BMTH collaborator mgk (covering The Chicks), pop-rock princess Avril Lavigne (covering Adele), rising rock stars Meet Me @ the Altar (covering Kelly Clarkson), One Direction alum Niall Horan (covering Zach Bryan), and countless more- the series gives fans of all genres the ability to hear their favorite artists reimagine their favorite songs all in one place.
You can listen to Bring Me The Horizon’s “WONDERWaLL” now along with a remix of their own single ‘YOUtopia,’ and check out the full playlist of Spotify Singles featuring over 900 below.
