After releasing their EP “I Wasn’t Well” earlier this year, Carrousel have been hard at work.

With their lead single “Psychobabble Drama” dropping late last year before the album’s January debut, the Los Angeles based duo have been constantly creating content, including playing local shows, making lyric videos, and today’s latest release- the music video for “A Solitary Soul.”

The second single to come off of “I Wasn’t Well,” “A Solitary Soul” is about feeling alone despite being surrounded by friends and loved ones. It touches on the paranoia that virtually everyone feels- that at the core of it all, we are alone.

With haunting vocals and a mix of both live instruments and electronic sounds, “A Solitary Soul,” is a perfect song to listen to while you’re feeling down because it reminds you that you’re not alone in your feelings. Everyone feels alone sometimes.

And if that hasn’t sold you enough to check the song and video out, scenes of the video were shot in the sand dunes where the Tatooine scenes from Star Wars were filmed.

Impressed yet? We are.

Made up of Sharon and Joel Piedt, Carrousel are the indie band you didn’t know you needed.

Following a year long social media hiatus, the Los Angeles based duo have racked up a constantly growing 1,600 monthly listener count on Spotify and are currently in the process of writing a new album.

You can catch up with the duo via their socials: Twitter, Instagram, and of course, YouTube.
