Ahead of her upcoming album Wings, R&B songstress Claire Reneé is giving fans more new music to enjoy with the release of her new, romantic single “Honey.”
Released today, “Honey” explores a romantic relationship in which two partners are seen as equals to each other and treat each other with mutual love and respect.
Featuring Reneé’s angelic vocal styling laid over a relaxed but enticing rhythm, the song draws listener’s in as Reneé serenades a lover and lets them know just how much their love means to her.
Equating the reassurance and security the partner provides to honey, the song is a celebration of healthy relationships and a reminder that your parents shouldn’t make you feel anything less than valued.
“Sometimes past relationships with people who made you feel like you were “too much” or in some way asking for a lot, make you feel like there is something wrong with you,” Reneé shares. “Then you find people who remind you that love can be sweet, smooth, and beautiful because they are choosing to really see you and love what’s there in front of them.”
