If you are in need of a new alternative music, we have the perfect new EP for you to check out.

“Diplomacy” the self-titled album by super duo Diplomacy- also known as actor Jack Falahee and DJ Tim Wu- dropped earlier this morning and it is exactly what we needed to get through this gloomy Wednesday.

The first EP to come out of Diplomacy, this five track release includes new songs “Undertow,” “Interlude,” and “Last Dance,” among with the previously debuted “Iris” and “Silver Lake Queen.”

And while this EP is the first release by the duo and Falahee, who despite a history in musical theater has not publicly pursued music, it is not the first for Wu- who is better known by his stage name Elephante.

Taking a step back from his electronic persona, Diplomacy shows off Wu’s range.

With a new use of soft instrumentals, strings, and piano, mixed to create lighter, indie rock sounds- “Diplomacy” shows off a new side of the DJ’s talents, all while also including some subtle electronic elements in some tracks, such as “Undertow.”

And though this is Falahee’s first time singing his own tracks for public consumption, his smooth lyricism and unique style would have you convinced he had been writing music his whole life.

In essence, Diplomacy is the perfect debut EP.

You can stream the full release now, wherever you stream music, and stay tuned to the band’s Twitter and Instagram accounts for updates on all things Diploacy.
