A few months ago our favorite duo Super Whatevr asked us the very important question: “don’t you wanna be glad?”

Since then we haven’t been able to get them or their music out of our heads, and that’s why we are over the moon about the new Super Whatevr album, “don’t you wanna be glad?” which dropped yesterday morning.

Featuring the band’s previously released tracks “melancholyism.,” “yours truly.,” and “glad.” the album consists of 12 tracks, including new songs “everything’s new, everything hurts.,” “i wanna be cool.” and “sober.”

And while the album in it’s entirety is a certified bop, it also serves a greater purpose in the band’s efforts to speak out about mental health.

In a series of Tweets leading up to the album’s release, singer Skyler McKee tweeted that the album was about getting better, and learning to try to be something “other than depressed all the time.”

You can stream “don’t you wanna be glad?” now, and be sure to catch Super Whatevr alongside Chapel and Happy on their upcoming Pastel Is Emo tour, which kicks off tonight in Phoenix, Arizona.
