Indie-pop band Driveaway from Gainesville, FL release their newest single “Is This Letting Go?”

Driveaway, made up of brothers Trenton (vocals) and Tanner (bass) Ropp, and Kyley Tapley (lead guitar), explore the complexities of relationships most times under the lens of depression. This exploration is often packed with honest lyrics and complex storytelling inspired by the haphazardness of human emotions.

Their newest single “Is This Letting Go?” tells the story of questions one’s feelings towards another because they can’t grapple their own emotions towards themselves. This messiness of justifying emotions to one who won’t accept it leads to heartbreak on both sides. 

“Is This Letting Go?” has a very atmospheric vibe in it’s music composition, as if these are thoughts stuck in your head. The track takes listeners through the process of grappling your emotions and having to let go when you may not want to, but knowing it is probably for the best.
