The EP was engineered and mixed by producer Corey Bergeron, who is also the guitarist of Canadian band Locket.

The opening track, “Not Like it Used to Be” sets up themes the EP will tackle – anxiety, isolation, self-doubt, and accepting how you are and what you are dealt. The chorus encapsulates the idea of this track, and arguably the whole EP; you feel stuck in one place and it feels like everyone is moving one without you.

The title track, “Everyone in Search of an Exit” nicely closes and rounds out the EP. The track looks at progress, how it is not linear but a more complex process that takes accepting of faults, demons, and the understanding everyone’s progress looks different.

We start with feeling left behind, not sure if catching up is possible, but we close with knowing progress comes at a different pace for everyone and we will get where we need to be.

Stream “Everyone in Search of an Exit,” out now.
