In a tweet posted last week, the band shared a link to the fundraiser with the message “Please share this. It is the most important thing we’ve ever done.”

Since the post was made, the band has raised over 4 thousand dollars for the AFSP, and the number keeps rising.

And in addition to creating the fundraiser, the band have also dedicated it to lead singer Collin Walsh’s cousin, Thomas Patrick Walsh, who took his own life in 2018.

“In memory of Thomas Walsh, we are currently accepting donations to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention,” the band shared on their site.

Thomas’ death inspired the band’s track “Tommy’s Song” which is the closing track of their album “Nella Vita.”

You can donate and listen to a live recording of “Tommy’s Song” during the band’s one live performance of it now over on Grayscale’s website.
