Hayley Williams is on a roll.

The Paramore front woman has released her second new track in eight days, and this one is, well- emotional.

Accompanied by a new music video, “Leave It Alone” discusses the process of working through grief while also battling internal demons.

In an interview with Beats 1’s Zane Lowe the singer revealed that her grandmother’s recent decline in health inspired the track’s lyrics as she was forced to confront the reality of mortality while grieving the loss of someone who hasn’t yet passed.

“It really sucks that you have to dig through the dirty shit to find the diamonds,” Williams shared. “I always think, what is the point of loving people? The best case scenario is that I fall in love, we have a life together, and then lose one or the other. The more you love, the more you stand to lose. I struggle with it all time time.”

“Leave It Alone” is the second single released by Williams as part of her debut solo album “Petals For Armor.”

While the album is the singer’s first solo venture since forming Paramore, Williams has confirmed that this is not the end of the band, but rather just a new experience.

“Petals For Armor” is set to release May 8th, but you can listen to “Simmer” and “Leave It Alone” now wherever you stream music.
