Over the past two months singer/songwriter Hayley Williams has been slowly releasing her upcoming EP “Petals For Armor II”- the second installation of her debut solo album “Petals For Armor.”

And while the full album is set to release May 8th, we are very appreciative of Williams’ glimpses into what is to come. Including today’s release, “Why We Ever.”

As the fourth release from “Petals For Armor II,” ‘Why We Ever” is a ballad that the singer shared with the caption “ever tried to sabotage the best thing? yeah, me neither.”

A smooth, ethereal instrumental backing accompanied by lyrics all about self-sabotaging, “Why We Ever,” is the perfect track for days of self doubt and reminding yourself that you are not alone in your feelings- because even someone like Hayley Williams has been there, too.
