We may not be able to go see our favorite acts live just yet, but with a little help from the internet and organizers such as Good Noise Podcast, we are able to get as close as humanly possible through the incredible technology that is live streaming.
Organized as a way to help connect musicians with their fanbases, as well as to help expand their reach to potential new fans, Good Noise Podcast set up their own live stream called Finter Fest back in December- a two day Twitch streaming event that featured 45 different artists.
Donating all profits to charity, the stream gave fans a glimpse into what their favorite bands are up to, as well as allowing them to hear some of their favorite tracks ‘live’ once more.
And now, just under two months after the festival initially aired, Good Noise and Highwind are debuting their live set for everyone to watch.
Officially live on YouTube as of this morning, the video shows Highwind frontman performing their single “2023,” accompanied by a full band and full, multi-colored performance lighting.
“Playing live for Good Noise festival was such a cool experience for me. I had never done any sort of live session before recording one for Good Noise Festival,” frontman Chris Russo shared. “Working with Connor Hanson and Kris Khunachak is always a pleasure, so being able to work with both of them on this project was amazing.”
“I know that the original version of, “2023,” is a little over a year old now, so I really hope people enjoy having the live version of the song.”
This new live stream video comes just under one month after the band shared a reimagined version of the track- both as a video and on streaming services- featuring Guy Battaglia of Idle Wave.
You can view both versions of “2023” now, via the links above, and be sure to stream “2023 (Reimagined)” out now on Spotify.
