Idle Wave went through some major changes in 2020, but they haven’t let that stopped them from preparing to take the world by storm in the new year. Specifically as they release their first new single of 2021, “My End.”
Released this morning, “My End” is an indie rock track that navigates the process of leaving a friendship and rethinking everything that has happened since. Asking yourself if what you’ve done was right, if the relationship was toxic, and how you could have potentially changed things on your end, the song is a tug of war between knowing you need to move on and being tied to your past.
With smooth guitar and a steady percussion beat moving the track along, the song places heavy focus on the vocals and the track’s lyrics- keeping it simple and emotional.

Described by sole band member and Idle Wave’s founder Guy Battaglia, the album was written as “a second stream of consciousness,” and will take the topic of breakups in all forms- from lovers to friends to even band members.
Navigating the process of growing and finding yourself, the aptly named Party Guy is sure to connect to connect with listeners of all background through its pure emotion and basis in human connection.
