Los Angeles, California is home to plenty of famous rock bands, punk bands, pop stars– you name it and someone from the city of angels has built a brand from it.

One band in particular that’s rising in popularity is “In Her Own Words”. No strangers to the scene, the American Rock/Punk band have been around since 2010, only releasing their debut album “Everything I Used to Trust” in 2013.

Not long after their album, they went on to release back to back EP’s, “East & West” in 2014 and “Bad Weather” in 2015. Continuing their string of new music, they then followed it up with the full album “Unfamiliar” in 2016.

Fast forward a little bit and IHOW released a deluxe edition of “Unfamiliar” but there wasn’t much after that…at least until now.

Outside of playing shows with some well known bands such as Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! And Story Untold, as well as recently finishing up a tour with Oh, Weatherly…IHOW has made quite the name for themselves.

2019 has brought along many incredible releases but IHOW’s new album “Steady Glow” is by far a top contender for album of the year.

Having released just a few days ago on April 12th, the album has received an overwhelming amount of positive reviews from fans across the world. One person even mentioning that their future kids will know of the band.

It certainly finds its place amongst the new releases this year and has been holding steady as a beautifully written and well thought out album.

Diving right in from the first track “Out of Focus”, the album consistently keeps its momentum flowing from track to track, inclusive of fantastic lyrical storytelling throughout each song, all while maintaining that signature IHOW sound.

Each song has its flare and flavor to it, which ultimately contributes to the album solidifying itself as a rock/punk favorite already.

“Steady Glow” does an exceptional job of polishing emotions we bury deep and bringing them out in the best way. Whether you’re feeling sad, angry, or feeling even just a sliver of happiness, this album truly has a track for everyone but don’t stop there because one or two isn’t enough.

Having racked up over a couple million streams of “Right now” on Spotify, as well as a couple thousand on the single “Serotonin” and the title track “Steady Glow”, the members of IHOW have every reason to celebrate this album.

We can’t wait for the tour to start and the music to make its way to the East Coast, but until then you can catch us with the album on repeat.
