Released earlier this morning, “Sweeter Things” is an indie rock track inspired by Tucci’s desire to stand her ground and make waves, despite how uncomfortable doing so might be.

“This song is about shedding those insecurities and finding the confidence to speak my mind,” the singer shared. “It’s a statement that I’m not going to put myself in a box to meet someone else’s expectations. I’m not trying to be sweet, I’m trying to be honest, and right now I have something to say.”

With groovy guitar backing and crisp vocals, “Sweeter Things” is the perfect track to both plan a revolt to and also just groove along to while driving down the freeway.

It’s feminist origins encourage listeners to speak up, speak loud, and refuse to back down- three things that all young adults need to hear- especially in the current social climate.
