Kaleena Zanders is holding nothing back in her brand new holiday track, “THANK YOU MARIAH.”

Released this Monday, the new song showcases the singer’s playful side by taking a spin at creating a new holiday anthem. But not in the way listener’s might expect.

In fact, the new song is not at all a happy Christmas song, but instead a diss track set to some jingle bells and full of pop culture references.

But what exactly is Zanders dissing in this track? None other than the queen of Christmas herself- Mariah Carey and her over-played holiday hit, “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”

“THANK YOU MARIAH” begins by Zanders listing some of her favorite parts of the holidays, including decorations, Hanukah dreidels, Kwanza candles and snow falling outside. But as she begins to continue on with her upbeat cheer, she is interrupted as a Christmas caroler stops by her house and begins to belt Carey’s classic song. Without letting the singer finish, Zanders shouts “NO!” and explains how she is sick of the track being overplayed every year.

With a very catchy dance beat playing behind Zanders as she jokes about being single, wanting expensive gifts and even having Britney Spears show up at her house to sing a new song, the track makes you want to move instantly- while forcing you to ponder your own thoughts about overplayed holiday music.

Calling out some of her other favorite artists who she believes could crush a new Christmas track, such as Rihanna, Madonna, Ed Sheeran or Michael Bublé, Zanders then closes the track by passing off the torch off- begging for a new song to rock out to this holiday season.
