I was introduced to this eclectic Dublin-based band back in March. The unexpected fusion of rock, reggae, hip-hop and folk music drew me in and their first single “2020” was in line with the play on their name, Kandemic.

Now, just a few short weeks later the band is back with their second single, very much on theme, titled “Virus.”

In the most fitting fashion to both the band and track’s theme, “Virus” was released in conjunction with the first super moon of the year and explores out of this world sounds and concepts.

Filming the video adorned in alien masks (because let’s face it, the events of the last year and half have been more than bizarre) the band sings in the catchy hook:

“I’m contagious, like a virus that keeps on multiplying in a world that keeps on lying.”

And as the track transitions from genre to genre, Kandemic prove that you simply cannot define them nor put them in a box- which is what is so appealing about their sound. Don’t believe us?
