They often say that music is the best medicine, and today’s new track from Kandle Osborne is the perfect example.

“Better Man,” which was released earlier this morning, is the latest track from the Canadian singer- inspired by her recently severed ties with a former business partner.

Written as a form of cathartic healing after being manipulated and silenced by men in the industry throughout the course of her career, Osborne wrote “Better Man,” to share her side of the story and make sure her voice was being heard.

“Manipulation is emotional blackmail,” she shared of the track. “They use certain behaviors to influence how you think, feel and act until you are broken down to a fragment of what you once were. When your success is monopolized by someone else holding the key, you find yourself making deals with the devil without a clue how you got there.”

As for the advice the singer would like to give others who have been in her position? Stay strong.

“It is my hope that this song will inspire those in an inferior position to no longer normalize the silent epidemic of abuse of power. And if you’ve been a casualty of career manipulation, seek redemption by waving the red flag and being resilient.”
