Mayday Parade treated fans last month with the release of their latest EP Out of Here, and now the band are once more feeding our need for content with the release of their new music video for the EP’s final single “I Can Only Hope.”

Released last night, the video for “I Can Only Hope” features the five band members running down a dimly lit street- seemingly away from something chasing them, though the audience never sees what.

Directed by Guadalupe Bustos, the video is the final installment of the band’s Out of Here release, and visually represents the fear and uncertainty that inspired the track.

“‘I Can Only Hope,’ simply put, is about my father. He recently had some medical issues in Georgia and being that I live in California, I felt so far away,” drummer Jake Bundrick shared. “The song is about being terrified. It’s about that uncertainty whether someone will pull through something so difficult. It’s about the unknown that follows all of it and never forgetting the sounds or senses of the moment when you received the news.”

The “I Can Only Hope” video isn’t the only exciting news the band has shared this week though.

In addition to the new music video release, the band have also announced their upcoming Anywhere But Here live stream, where they will be performing their sophomore album from front to back in honor of the album’s 11 year anniversary. Set to take place on December 5th at 6pm EST, the live stream will feature classic hits such as “Kids in Love,” “The Silence,” and “If You Can’t Live Without Me, Why Aren’t You Dead Yet?” and is priced at $12 a ticket.

You can purchase tickets to the livestream here, and be sure to stream Out of Here, out now.
