Following the successful release of Melii’s collaboration with 6LACK in December titled “You Ain’t Worth It,” the duo have returned with the official music video and I’m here for it!
The 2000s inspired video was directed by Des Gray and filmed in LA. With rich colour schemes and set designs, this video complements the message of the track – moving on from a dead-weight ex and tumultuous relationship to a fulfilling one. Better said by Melii in the hook:
“My new n***a, he got big racks, big dick, big bag, uh-huh, big stacks, peep that, like, yeah. I can’t be stressin’ on no old hoes, no-no. I might just flex up on my ex and let it go-go, go-go.”
6LACK who is known for his chill vibe and honest relationship lyrics is the perfect collaborator for this track. The pair share a few scenes together in the video one of which is at a photoshoot.
I suppose you can apply the lyrics to anything that holds you down, it’s a new year so whatever it is that may be holding you back from better “let it go, go, go.”
You can watch the new video, linked above, and be sure to stream “You Ain’t Worth It,” out now.
