Neck Deep are on a roll this summer with five brand new singles and a new album on the way.

Earlier this morning the band announced the release of their latest single, “Sick Joke,” which came as a surprise to fans just four days before the band’s new album “All Distortions Are Intentional” (aka “ADAI”) drops.

“Sick Joke” also comes just four days after the band released their previous single, “I Revolve (Around You)” which debuted this past Friday.

But unlike the four previous releases from “ADAI,” “Sick Joke” is not a happy-go-lucky tune like “Lowlife”, nor is it a romantic one like “Fall” or “When You Know.”

Instead, “Sick Joke” tackles feelings of depression and anxiety as the world around you begins to crumble. It is an honest, gut wrenching track lyrically that contrasts it’s tone with Neck Deep’s signature pop-rock instrumentals.

The most classically “Neck Deep sounding” track to be released so far, “Sick Joke” proves to fans that whatever they expect “All Distortions Are Intentional” to sound like… it likely won’t.

And I for one cannot wait to hear the rest of it.

You can stream “Sick Joke” as well as the other four singles now, wherever you stream music, and be sure to keep your eyes and ears peeled Friday for the full release of “All Distortions are Intentional.”
