Neck Deep have officially released their fourth studio album, and we are SO here for it.

“All Distortions Are Intentional,” which dropped at midnight, is the band’s first full length release since 2017’s “The Peace and the Panic.”

With a track-list of 12 songs, including 7 previously unreleased tracks such as “Quarry,” “Sonderland,” and “Little Doves,” the album takes listeners on a journey through the mystical world of Sonderland- a fictional place that the album is set in.

In addition to the thematic changes, “All Distortions Are Intentional” is sonically nothing like any previous Neck Deep release.

With a mix of love songs like “Fall” and “When You Know,” contrasted by spoken word inspired “Quarry” and existential rock track “Sick Joke,” every track on “ADAI” takes listeners on a unique lyrical, instrumental, and emotional journey. No two tracks sound the same, giving fans a glimpse at what the band sounds like at it’s core- without any restrictions or labels holding them back.

And in a world where artists are constantly switching up their signature sounds and experimenting with various genres, often to the chagrin of their devoted fan bases, Neck Deep have managed to hold onto their pop punk roots while also branching out, proving that they are not going to be boxed in- no matter what their previous albums have led people to believe.

And to any fans who are afraid that Neck Deep have lost their “edge” or potent political voice after the release of the album’s first few singles, fear not. The very last line of the entire album is “Fuck society and fuck your politics. Fuck yourself and fuck the way it is.”

They have not gone anywhere. They have simply evolved.
