“Not Another Love Song” by Ella Mai

Ella Mai became the IT girl a few years back with the release of her single “Boo’d Up,” and is now once more preparing for chart domination with the release of her new single “Not Another Love Song.”

A smooth R&B song about falling in love while simultaneously trying to deny and fend off those feelings, “Not Another Love Song” is a highly relatable track that marks the singer’s return to music after nearly two years off.

And though the track only debuted this morning, we fully expect this track to be a hit during the upcoming cuffing season. After all, what better time is there to fall in love and cuddle up with someone that makes you feel the warm embrace of happiness than the cool winter months?

“I Feel the Transition” by The Zolas

Heavily influenced by the imminent threat of climate change and the current political state of the world, The Zolas are not afraid to call it like they see it, and their new single “I Feel the Transition” is no different.

Released today, “I Feel the Transition” is an indie-pop track that gives a hopeful look into the future as younger millennial and generation z begin to use their growing power and knowledge to help change the world for the better- specifically in regards to the socio and political climate.

A track that has easy to learn lyrics and a catchy and very danceable beat, “I Feel the Transition” is the perfect song to throw on when getting ready to conquer the day ahead as it will get you hyped up and ready to dominate.

“Standing With You” by Eunice Keitan

An emotional piano driven ballad, “Standing With You” is the latest single by Canadian singer/songwriter Eunice Keitan.

After seeing the news of George Floyd’s murder plastered across the media and reading more on the brutality and racism that plague the United States, Keitan penned “Standing With You” as an ode to solidarity and compassion for those affected by police brutality and racism throughout the world.

“We wanted to create a feeling that was sombre and honest in recognition of the lives which have been senselessly taken by police brutality,” Keitan shared. “”Standing With You” is meant to be uplifting in the hope that we can give you a sense of urgency to shake any sense of complacency and to listen to each other with greater empathy.”

Released on Bandcamp Friday, the singer also shared that all proceeds from the track will be donated to organizations that support Black and indigenous populations. You can read more here.

“Magnolia Mansion” by BARBUDO

A perfect track to pick up the tempo and get you back in the groove, “Magnolia Mansion” is the latest single by English funk duo BARBUDO.

Made up of brothers Ben and Harry Stanworth, BARBUDO find themselves inspired by a range of genres. From classic pop to 70s disco to groovy funk- the duo aren’t afraid to experiment and this shines through on their latest single- giving listeners a feeling of nostalgia while also feeling fresh and putting you in the ideal dancing mood.

““Magnolia mansion is in itself an ideal –  a place in the ether, that we all can transport to when the sun is beaming down,” the brothers share. “But at the same time, [the song] encourages us to think about change within and without, linking escapism and personal discovery.”

“Careful” by Molly Moore

Molly Moore first landed on our radar with the release of her single “Handsomer” earlier this fall. Now she is once more catching our attention with the release of her new poppy single “Careful.”

Released as a double single alongside “Identity Crisis” earlier this week, “Careful” warns of the dangers of becoming obsessed with social media and creating a fabricated online persona instead of living a life that is true to your own desires and passions.

Written as a warning to listeners to not follow the same path as Moore, the singer shares that the track “is about getting so lost in other people’s lives that you lose sight of your own. It’s about being addicted to the internet and the idea of what’s sold to you on social media. It’s a warning song to other people to learn from my mistakes and to not fall into the trap of thinking you need anything external to feel happy.”

“Lie to Me” by Less Than Jake

When things are headed south and we are feeling out of control, sometimes all we want is for someone to lie to us and tell us that everything is okay. And that’s exactly what Less Than Jake’s new single “Lie To Me” is about.

A swinging punk-y ska track that is signature of the iconic band, “Lie To Me” begs for someone to provide some comfort in a time of unrest, both internal and external. With catchy instrumentals and lyrics that are highly relatable- especially this past week as the world around us seems to be catching fire- this track is one of the best of the week to crank up loud and get your skank on to.

And if a new dance track wasn’t good enough news, new single is also the first look into the band’s upcoming album Silver Linings, which is available to preorder now and set to debut December 11th.

“Space” by Becky Hill

An emotional power-pop ballad about the pre-breakup conversations that have the potential to make or officially break a relationship, “Space” is the newest single by Becky Hill.

“‘Space’ is a very personal song that seems a million miles away for me now. I’m proud of this song for many reasons. Actually, it’s the most honest I’ve ever been with myself, let alone the public,” the songstress shared.

Inspired by her own dating experiences, “Space” tells the story of having a difficult conversation with a loved one and the subsequent fall out that transpires when you’ve hoped for a quick resolution.

With relatable, hard-hitting lyrics coupled with an electronic dance beat, this song is both heartbreaking but dance ready, making it the perfect track to put on when you need an outlet to express your inner feelings byway of movement.

“Almost” by Devan feat. Corey Harper

After getting her footing in the industry as the front woman of folk band Wild Rivers, Devan is taking a turn at going solo with the release of her second single “Almost.”

A track about wanting to fall in love fully but not being able to due to past hurt and putting a guard on your heart, “Almost” features fellow alt-pop artist Corey Harper, who adds soft harmonies and his own verse on the song.

And as a follow up to her debut soft spoken single “Real Shot,” earlier this year, “Almost” continues to give us high hopes for Devan’s solo career and helps her stand out with her unique vocals and haunting but relatable melodies.

“God on My Side” by Social Club Misfits

Hip-hop duo Social Club Misfits are continuing to gear up for the debut of their new album Feared by Hell with the release of their latest single “God on My Side.”

Featuring rapper Ty Brasel, “God on My Side” is a positive uptempo track discusses the choice to live life for yourself while looking out for your own best interests, despite the plans others may have in store for you.

Oftentimes we find ourselves following paths or decisions that may not lead us to the best outcome to stay safe, healthy and successful, and this track reminds listeners that it’s okay to be unsure, but to remember that being your own advocate and staying grounded or connected to positive influences in your life (in the band’s case, God) is the most powerful way to live life to the fullest and stay happy.

“lunar light” by Mikey Ferrari

The newest single by Mikey Ferrari is a nostalgia trip fueled by soft melodies and emotional lyrics.

Written after Ferrari found himself reminiscing about past relationships that didn’t end as hoped, “lunar light” documents the feeling of regret and wishing you could re-do the past to fix your mistakes.

“When I wrote ‘lunar light’ I was in a weird spot in my life. I was reflecting upon past relationships and I started to think about the hypocrisy of many of the sorrys that I had said in the past,” Ferrari shared. At the time, I was making a lot of mistakes and just expecting people to forgive me. My apologies had become empty promises. This song is about being willing to go to any lengths to fix what I had done.”

“lunar light” is also the latest single from Ferrari’s upcoming EP SPACEBOY, following his debut single “moving slow,” which dropped earlier this year.

“Losers” by Charming Liars

Charming Liars are empowering the “losers” out there and have dedicated their brand new single to reminding all of the winners that just because they “won,” doesn’t mean they are any better than those who didn’t.

An underdog anthem, “Losers” is a pop rock song that will have anyone that’s ever been dubbed a loser or lost their faith in themselves that they are as worthy of love, freedom and success as everyone else in their life.

After all, there are no real winners or losers in life- just millions of people going through the same day-to-day hoping to live life to the fullest and achieve their own form of happiness.

“Outta My Head” by Magic Giant

Alt-rockers Magic Giant are asking you to get out of their head and into their heart with the release of their newest single “Outta My Head.”

Another track that debuted this morning, “Outta My Head” is a pop rock love song about taking things to the next level and wishing for a relationship to turn into a full bloom instead of an imagined dream or failed attempt at making things work.

With a hint of sadness, the song longs for a fairytale romance despite the reluctance and fears of the other party and leaves listeners feeling both a bit defeated but also with a glimmer of hope that things may work out if the duo realize they’re better together than apart.
