New Politics are back and as alt-rock as ever.
After teasing fans all last week with previews of a new track, theband, who originally hail from Denmark, have finally released their latest single “Ozone,” and it is perhaps their most catchy track yet.
The nearly three minute song, which features a repetitive backing beat over layerd with lyrics about heartbreak, is one of the catchiest song’s the band have released since their debut “Harlem.”
After just one listen you’ll be screaming along “Can you meet me in the Ozone?”
And “Ozone” wasn’t the band’s only big announcement last week. The trio also announced their new album “An Invitation to An Alternate Reality,” which will be released next Friday, November 1st.
“We’re excited about the release of this new album. In all our darkness this album is a beacon of light. Our new single Ozone is about escaping, it’s about meeting someone you can’t physically be with. This song is an invitation to an alternate reality we hope listeners can escape and make theirs,” the band shared.
You can stream “Ozone” now, and be sure to keep your ears open for “An Invitation to An Alternate Reality,” next week.
And if you like what you hear, don’t miss New Politics on their upcoming tour, heading to a city near you this fall!
