Sleeping With Sirens have not released new music since 2017.
Until now.
After overhauling their Instagram page yesterday afternoon and changing their profile picture, the band then posted a sole video- potentially a sneak peak of their new music- with the teaser “June 19th” at the end.
It wasn’t until about ten minutes ago, though, that the band officially posted an announcement video, listing “12am EST” as their new song and video’s release date.
But, unfortunately for the band- though fortunate for eager fans- the track did not make it to the midnight release date- after fan’s in the UK uploaded an audio version of the track to YouTube after it became available on Spotify and iTunes at 12am UK time.
The song, which is the band’s first single since their 2017 release “Gossip,” plays homage to their heavier roots- with deeper basslines, grittier guitar and metal-esque vocals. A strong contrast to their last release’s pop vibe.
And though the track was not supposed to be out yet, fans seem to be loving it- especially because of the heavier sound.
We for sure can’t wait to see what else they have up their sleeves.
