Chapel have released a new track, and it is a certified bop.
“Friends,” which dropped earlier this morning is the duo’s latest release, and potentially their best.
Written about the struggle of balancing your social life with your career ambitions/work life, “Friends” is not only a track all listeners can easily relate to, but it is also a deeply personal track for the band.
“I realized I was making excuses and bailing on a lot of people, not holding up my end of relationships,” singer Carter Hardin shared. “Friends is an apology, because at the end of the day, no dreams are worth having if you don’t have people there with you.”
Chapel are a Georgia based duo consisting of Hardin and Kortney Grinwis.
After their formation in 2016, the group have released only one EP- “Sunday Brunch,” in 2017.
“Friends,” marks the band’s first release since then, and while it’s been a long wait, it’s been a worthwhile one.
You can stream “Friends” now wherever you stream music, and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for Chapels debut album set to drop sometime next year.
