PVRIS Reimagine “My House” With Courtney LaPlante

It may be PVRIS’ house, but Courtney LaPlante can stay for as long as she wants.

Massachusetts natives PVRIS are celebrating their band-iversary this year with a reissue of their biggest track to date- this time with a little help from another musical powerhouse.

Featuring Grammy nominated vocalist Courtney LaPlante, best known as the front woman of metal band Spiritbox, “My House – feat. Courtney LaPlante” officially released this morning and takes the original track’s essence and makes it somehow even more haunting albeit powerful.

Originally released in 2014 on PVRIS’ debut album White Noise, “My House” quickly became a breakout track and fan favorite, remaining the band’s most performed track over ten years after its initial release.

And though this re-recording may not sound exceptionally different from the original version, beyond the obvious accompaniment of LaPlante’s vocals, it does show off the growth PVRIS’ sound has made since their debut.

While initially hitting the scene as a quartet- turned trio- turned duo- turned solo project, PVRIS has never been afraid to break the mold. Whether that be changing their lineup, changing their sonic inspirations, or changing their categoric genre, front woman Lynn Gunn has not only released countless impressive singles and albums since 2014 but she’s also grown as a vocalist and musician in general- both skills that are shown off on this new single (that she also produced).

And after over a decade of well loved history- “My House” has had a new life breathed into it- reminding fans that taking a trip down memory lane can sometimes spark new creative endeavors.

This new re-release isn’t the only celebration of PVRIS’ debut album’s anniversary either. Gunn recently announced a series of White Noise anniversary shows, marking 10 years of PVRIS and a decade of “My House.”

With more dates anticipated down the line, the mini-tour currently features 11 international dates that will honor PVRIS of the past, present, and the future.

You can stream both the original “My House” and the 2025 version featuring Courtney LaPlante out now, and be sure to follow both artists to stay up to date on new releases and new tour dates.
