PVRIS are just days away from the start of their first tour back post-COVID shutdown and in preparation for the return to live gigs, the band are getting fans hyped up with the release of a brand new single.
Released Friday and titled “Monster,” the new single is the first track to be released since the group’s 2020 album Use Me. Keeping in similar tone and theme with Use Me, “Monster” is a unique mix of alternative rock and electro-pop. Showcasing vocalist and sole band member Lynn Gunn’s musicianship and once more reminding us just how powerful she is on her own- the track is infectious in a way that will have you hitting repeat over and over without ever wanting to stop.
A commentary on letting others skew your self perception and allowing yourself to become wrapped up in the petty and less than ideal aspects of life, including fame, image, and social media identity, “Monster” is a call out that will be stuck in your head for days on end while also reminding you to keep your head grounded and to not let yourself get caught up in the trivial things.
An iconic entrance track for what is sure to be one of the best years of PVRIS’ career- this single is just the beginning of bangers to come.
You can stream “Monster” out now, wherever you stream music, and be sure to catch PVRIS on their upcoming tour- hitting a city near you starting this month.
