REI AMI knows her self worth and isn’t going to let anybody tear her down- which she makes very clear with the release of her new single “THAT’S ON YOU!”

Released this past Friday, “THAT’S ON YOU!” is an ode to empowerment and letting go of anyone in your life who doesn’t see your value.

Kicking off with a fun rap verse before moving into an uptempo pop groove, “THAT’S ON YOU!” showcases the singer’s ability to genre blend seamlessly- closing out the song with an R&B inspired riff that will have you lost in your feelings as well as in REI AMI’s voice.

“THAT’S ON YOU!” is about recognizing your power again. It’s about being yourself to the fullest extent and if others don’t like it, then that’s their problem,” the singer shares. “I exist for myself and myself only. I refuse to dull myself down to make others comfortable. So if you don’t like me, baby that’s on you.”

As for the track’s music video, which also dropped Friday and was directed by season music video veteran Kristen Jan Wong, REI AMI showcases her best bounty hunting abilities as joined by her partner Miles. And though the song begins showing their bounty hunting escapades, working together to take down some criminals in varying situations, the narrative changes as the song gets darker and the singer decides to turn on her once trusted partner.

Giving off an old western meets a dramedy- the video perfectly fits the changing vibes of the song and gives listeners a glimpse at what being strong and independent can look like.
