Run River North are helping to prove that you don’t need a label to create a fantastic new album with the release of their new, fully independent album, Creatures In Your Head.
Released this past Friday, Creatures In Your Head is a ten track album that features six previously released singles and four new songs, including the title track, “Funhouse,” “Goodnight Moon,” and “Weight.”
A culmination of new material and old tracks that had yet to be released by the band, the album navigates common human experiences, such as battles with seasonal depression, romantic relationships, and navigating a nonsensical world.
With relatable lyrics, and the band’s warm indie-pop sound drawing listeners in, Creatures In Your Head is an album that you do not want to miss out on.
A trio made up of Alex Hwang, Daniel Chae, Sally Kang, Run River North got their start in 2011 under the name Monsters Calling Home. After several lineup changes, a name change and the move to recording music independent from a label, the band have now found creative freedom as they continue to write and record new music.
An now with Creatures In Your Head being their first release fully funded by fan support byway of their Patreon account, Run River North are helping to reimagine the creative experience and we cannot wait to see what they do next.
