Back in November indie pop group Run River North treated fans with the seasonal depression anthem “Lonely Weather”- a song dedicated to acknowledging the pain you’re feeling and realizing that it won’t last forever, no matter how overwhelming it may feel in the moment.

With lyrics such as “my head is freezing cold, she says its seasonal” and “it’s only lonely weather, it melts with the ice, just give it some time,” the song coupled hard hitting and self aware lyricism with an uptempo pop beat that provided an optimistic undertone for the track. Giving listeners a perfect and instant mood boost, “Lonely Weather” instantly became one of our favorite releases of the fall.

And now, we are happy to once more have the track in our inbox rotation as the band have just released a brand new video.

Released this morning, the video for “Lonely Weather” is a beautifully animated video created by the Indonesian animation studio The Fox, The Folks.

Opening on a palette of darker colors to match the mood of the song when it begins, the video visually showcases a person battling with feelings of depression and uncertainty. With visuals of crying eyes, happy dream states, and echos of optimism spread throughout before closing on an image of the person opening their windows and looking upon the sun, the video echos the sentiment of the track and the idea that there will be brighter days ahead. You just have to push on.

You can stream “Lonely Weather” out now, and be sure to stay tuned for Creatures in Your Head out February 12th.
