It’s a sad day for the emo music community as the news breaks of Sad Summer 2020’s postponement.

Earlier this afternoon the festival organizers announced they would be postponing the festival until 2021 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

IT BECAME CLEAR OVER RECENT WEEKS THAT WE NEEDED TO SERIOUSLY CONSIDER WHETHER THE FESTIVAL SHOULD CONTINUE AS PLANNED.  NOW WE MUST MAKE THE NECESSARY DECISION TO POSTPONE SAD SUMMER FESTIVAL UNTIL SUMMER 2021,” they shared via their website.

But, despite the postponement, the festival did share the news that the full 2020 lineup had been secured for their 2021 dates, including headliners All Time Low, The Story So Far, Movements and of course- The Maine.

And while the dates have not been announced, they have shared that all tickets previously purchased will be honored at the new shows, along with some “perks and benefits” being provided to fans who keep their tickets.

You can read their full statement here, and stay tuned via their social media for further information regarding new tour dates and potential refunds.
