Canadian rock band Selfish Things have released a new EP and it already has fans buzzing.

Dropped at midnight this morning, “Logos // Alternate Versions,” is a four song EP featuring reimagined versions of three tracks off of the band’s debut album “Logos,” along with a cover of Jon Bellion’s “Stupid Deep.”

Taking each track and switching up their genre, “Logos // Alternate Versions” features formerly rock songs “Flood,” “Crutch,” and “Torn,” – all of which have been given a variety of new elements including keys, acoustic guitar, additional electric guitar and syntheziser.

As for the cover of “Stupid Deep,” the band takes the Jon Bellion track and slows it down a notch, replacing Bellion’s electronic elements with a chorus of vocals including First Ghost and Rosalind DeLost- turning the song into a beautiful duet/trio arrangement.

In addition to today’s new releases, the band also announced that they would be releasing more music in two week via Bandcamp, including demos, track ideas and songs that were cut from their debut album.

And while the news of new music has many fans excited, the release also comes with announcement that the band will be cancelling their Canadian headlining tour as a result of COVID-19 health concerns.

“We’ve decided to cancel our Canadian headline dates. We live in uncertain times and it just doesn’t feel like we will be safe or morally sound to go ahead with the tour as planned,” the band shared via Twitter.

“Our fans, crew and families health will always come first and we genuinely would never be able to cope with one or more of you getting sick. We miss you all dearly and look forward to being able to see you all at some point in the future.”

You can stream “Logos // Alternate Versions” now, and keep your eyes peeled for more new music in the coming weeks.
