Our favorite Canadian rockers Selfish Things have caught our attention once more.
After posting a vague announcement earlier yesterday afternoon simply stating “9pm PST / 12am EST” on their Instagram account, the cryptic band has released their latest single- “Hole.”
The fourth release to come off of their upcoming album “Logos,” “Hole” follows “Pride,” “Flood,” and “Drained” all of which were released over the past few months.
The track is nearly four minutes long and opens with a snippet of “Have You Been Tried in the Fire” by the Florida Mass Choir.
A heavier rock track, “Hole” brings heavy guitar/bass lines and catchy drum beats, with lyrics questioning mortality and what it means to be human. It’s religious influence is clear, and causes the listener to question their own existence- but in a way that makes you want to click the “repeat” button.
The song’s release also came with the announcement of “Logos” official release date, and track list.
Set to drop in September 20th, “Logos” will feature 11 songs, including the four previously mentioned. The listing is as follows:
- Flood
- Blood
- Rowen
- Pride
- Synaptic
- Torn
- Hole
- Crutch
- Drained
- Mind
- Youth
We for sure cannot wait to listen to the rest of their album.
And if you like what you’ve heard so far, be sure to grab tickets to Don Broco’s upcoming tour, where Selfish Things will be joining Trash Boat and Sleep On It as openers.
