UPDATE (5:31PM): Set it Off have been made aware of the allegations against Clermont and have released the following statement.

EARLIER: Set It Off’s lead guitarist Dan Clermont has been accused of sexual assault in a tweet currently going viral in the alternative scene.

The tweet, which describes an encounter between Clermont and a fan at a Set It Off show in September, alleges that Clermont exposed himself to the fan after separating her from her friends.

The band has yet to make a statement, but in reply to the allegations another fan commented that they too knew people who had similar encounters with the guitarist.

Clermont is not the first member of Set it Off to be accused of misconduct.

In 2015 the band parted ways with bassist Austin Kerr after similar accusations came out.

The band released the following statement following Kerr’s removal:

“Recently we have been made aware of the statements made about our bassist, Austin Kerr. We are taking the situation seriously and have decided that the best thing for the band is to part ways with Austin. We send our deepest apologies to anyone who has ever been affected negatively by his actions. Our fans mean the absolute world to us and their safety and happiness will always be our top priority. We are so grateful for their ongoing support over the years and will do everything we can to make this up to them and to move forward from this. “
