Sleep On It are getting poll-itical.

Yesterday afternoon the Chicago based pop-punk band announced the release of a new track, titled “Falling Further Faster,” which was a B-Side from their recent album “Pride and Disaster.”

However, instead of releasing the track to the public, the band announced they will be sending the track ONLY to fans who are registered to vote.

While some fans were worried about the legal voting age preventing them from getting to hear the new track the band clarified that there would be other ways to hear the music- including spreading the importance of voting on social media.

“We are proud to present “Falling Further Faster,” the last track recorded during ‘Pride and Disaster’ studio session,” The band shared via Twitter. “In order to unlock this song, we are encouraging everyone to do something we feel strongly about: register to vote.”

“We are not here to stand on a soapbox and tell people how to vote; rather, our goal is to encourage you all to learn and get involved. Your voice and your vote matter.”

In order to hear the new song fans must e-mail proof of registration to the address sleeponitvote@gmail.com, or if underage, proof of sharing the band’s original post.

The band also shared resources to find more information about registration, as well as polling places.
