One of the most important parts of staying healthy is getting your body moving. Whether that’s a full workout at the gym or a daily walk- it’s no secret that exercise is a key part of staying in shape and keeping yourself healthy- both mentally and physically.

But with public gyms closing down due to the Coronavirus pandemic and a resurgence of national curfews preventing any post-work strolls, this year has posed a wide variety of new obstacles that have gotten in the way of many of our usual routines. And that is why pop punk band State Champs have partnered up with Cardio Sport to bring fans a first ever livestream workout for participants of all fitness levels.

Set to take place at 8pm EST on Friday, November 20 (that’s right- this Friday!) the New York natives will team up with Cardio Sport fitness instructors in order to lead an hour long virtual session- starting with a 40 minute workout and followed by a 20 minute post-workout hangout with the band. A few lucky fans will also be chosen for a special virtual meet and greet.

And while many online workout classes cost an arm and a leg, this event is available for $11, $1 of which is being donated to the Young Center For Immigrant Children’s Rights.

“We are excited to kick off our Featured Artist Workout Event Series with the guys from State Champs,” Cardio Sport’s Brand Marketing Director Hilary Hartman shares of the announcement. “It is an exciting experience to be able to collaborate with the bands directly to bring improved wellness to them and their fans in a fun way, at a time when people need community, laughs and improved health more than ever.”

“Working out for 30 minutes a day is directly connected to improved physical, mental and emotional health and moving to the songs you love, makes it fun, not a chore.  We cannot wait to workout with Derek, Tyler, Evan and Ryan and all of YOU on November 20th!”

As for what State Champs think of the workout plans?

“We’re excited to be partnering with Cardio Sport because we needed someone to step up and whip us into shape,” guitarist Tyler Szalkowski joked.
