Nashville based duo Maddie Gainey and Ace Coontz are bringing some entertainment, pop culture and personal anecdotes to a streaming service near you this week with the debut of their new podcast, “Stories From The 615.”
Aimed at highlighting the city of Nashville as well as shedding some light on their own experiences in the entertainment industry, job hunting, and all things trending- “Stories From The 615” allows listeners to get to know a bit of behind the scenes information about the hosts while also learning more about Music City.
“I wanted to create a podcast that is for those who are often overlooked by mainstream entertainment. The black community, the LGBTQIA community, women, and non-binary people,” Ace shares. “Those whose voices deserve to be heard, lifted up, and boosted by the thing I know how to do most: talking.”
“I believe in this podcast because we are willing to give a voice to the underdog. We are creating a heartfelt, safe space for our guests to come as they are and be celebrated,” Maddie continues. “Ace and I have been through a lot together and the greatest traits we have in common are our love of entertainment and laughing through the hard times.”
Though they have only debuted episode 1 today, where the hosts discuss job interviews gone wrong, musical legend Dolly Parton and give listeners a taste of their banter, future episodes will feature guest including Tik Tok famous Chloe Collins, as well as rising artists Joe Johnson and Grace O’She.
You can stream the first episode, “Wildflowers in Low Places,” out now, and be sure to stay up to date with the duo and all future episodes via the social media links below.
