Get ready to discover *YOUR* favorite new alt-pop band.

Yours, a duo consisting of lead vocalist/pianist/bass guitarist Amanda and percussionist/guitarist Alice, are a super group from Sweden who formed after meeting while both playing bass in their previous projects.

After ten years of forming a tight friendship and connecting over their love of music, the two women decided to leave their previous groups and join forces, thus creating Yours.

Now, Yours has released their debut single and it is equally experimental as it is expressive and well, fantastic.

Written by the duo about their struggles with depression and the hardships that come with seeking help, Yours use various metaphors for the seasons to represent their feelings of distrust and discomfort.

While the lyrics of their song strike a sad chord with many, they are able to subtly transform the depression based tune into a pop bop, making listeners want to groove along to the pop sounds.

And if you aren’t sold yet, the band released a kick-ass colorful and action packed music video to go along with the track that is definitely worth checking out.

“The sun symbolizes help, a friend reaching to pull you out from the darkness,” Amanda shared.

“In my case, one of the challenges with going through depression is that it’s hard to see when someone is really trying to help. The lines between friend and foe get blurry.”

“Yours is an adventure. We’re always changing, we are never staying the same, and we expect our music to change with us.

On this journey, we hope you discover things you didn’t even know about yourself.”
