The rumors were true!

At midnight fans of pop punk and pop stars united to watch the release of the much anticipated new single “ME!”

After spending the last week teasing fans with the date 4.26 in all of her posts, Taylor Swift finally announced last night that her latest surprise was a new single, and a music video, featuring Panic! At The Disco’s Brendon Urie.

The news broke slightly earlier than Urie or Swift anticipated, though, after a Spotify ad in London went live before the songs US release.

But now both the news and the video are out, and well… You have to see it for yourself.

With an intro featuring an albino snake bursting into a million butterflies Taylor Swift made one thing clear- she is not here to play any games. And like a snake, she has shed her past skin.

With Urie and Swift starring as quarreling lovers, the video then kicks off in the duo’s lavish French apartment with their two children: Olivia and Meredith.

After a brief fight, which is entirely in French, Swift storms out of the apartment and launches into her new track.

With a poppy beat and lyrics about the uniqueness of Swift’s love, the song strongly calls back to her previous hit “Blank Space.”

In fact, the entire vibe of the video throws back to Taylor’s 1989 era, with brighter colors and fun upbeat lyrics.

With liquid rainbows, waterfall dresses, and Brendon Urie in a floral tuxedo, the video is definitely a visual masterpiece that you have to see to believe.

So go check it out! And as always, let us know what you think of the new song and the new video in the comments below.
