It has been almost nine years since Chicago natives The Academy Is… announced their split in October of 2011.

And now, five years after the band reunited for the first time in 2015 for an “Almost Here” Anniversary Tour, it appears they are at it again- after a mysterious photo was posted to the band’s social media accounts yesterday afternoon.

The photo, which is a drawing of a sun rising over a mountain- as seen on the artwork for “Almost Here,” – was posted without a caption, causing hundreds of fans to question what it meant.

Will there be another “Almost Here” tour to celebrate the album’s upcoming 15 year anniversary? Or is the band just acknowledging their past with a half-sentimental post- the same they did for “Santi” in 2017?

We aren’t sure, but either way, we are hopeful that 2020 will be the year emo makes a comeback.

After all, just look at My Chemical Romance.
