Indie rock band The Folks Around Town are gearing up to make 2020 their best year yet with the release of both a new single and a new album.

Following the announcement of their sophomore album Sun & Gloom, which is set to release September 25th, the band also debuted a brand new single titled “Alligator Swam (underdressed),” which navigates feelings of being misplaced and battling anxiety overlaid by a catchy electronic beat.

Made up of Rushi Panchal and Theja Ram Pingali, The Folks Around Town are a California based duo that create indie rock soundscapes mixed with a hint of electro pop.

After releasing their debut album Basement Years last year, the duo are now gearing up for the release of their second album Sun & Gloom, which will feature “Alligator Swamp (underdressed)” as the lead single.

You can stream the new song, along with all previous releases now, and prepare for Sun & Gloom, out Sept. 25.
