They may be small, but their sound is mighty.

Toronto based trio The Man Who prove they are a force to be reckoned with following the release of their debut EP “Bet On It.”

The five song album, which came out earlier this morning via Virgin Records, features the band’s first ever song- title track “Bet On It,” alongside hit single “Down,” “Natural Villain,” “Give Me Something,” and “This High.”

Each track features a mix of rock and roll strings alongside electronic dance beats and hypnotizing vocals, and is genre-bending rather than genre-conforming.

Made up of cousins David and Chad Walsh alongside drummer Frank Goerz, The Man Who formed in 2015, crediting their name to the Ralph Waldo Emerson quote: “The world makes way for the man who knows where he is going.”

Since their formation, they have worked with a number of high profile songwriters and producers, including Tawgs Salter, Mark Stent, and duo HEAVY, all of whom helped play an intregal part in the creation of “Bet On It.”

And it seems as though all of their hard work has paid off as the band has steadily been gaining traction and followers since their debut.

And if this new EP has shown us anything, it’s that The Man Who are a band you do not want to miss out on.

You can catch the trio when they hit Boston’s Brighton Music Hall next Wednesday, and at various dates on their first US tour opening for Banners.
