The Safest Ledge are beating the idea of a dreaded “sophomore slump” with the release of their new EP, “The Space Between Words.”

An Ohio based rock band, The Safest Ledge is made up of vocalist Kennedy Conti, guitarist Mason Boano, bassist Mike Orf and drummer Joey Koval.

After making their debut in 2017 with the release of their EP “Double the Drifters, Half the Spirit,” the band then gained a steady following, securing a near 3,000 monthly listeners on Spotify in addition to touring alongside global artists such as Silent Planet, Kublai Khan, and Landon Tewers.

Now, three years later, the band are making their return with their independently released EP “The Space Between Words,” which dropped yesterday morning.

Featuring five tracks, including new releases “Amnesia,” and “Idon’twannatalkaboutit,” the EP is the band’s most mature release to date- showcasing the growth they’ve made in the three years between albums.

With powerful vocals, catchy guitar riffs, and punk-rock inspired percussion, coupled with lyrical content that navigates the complexities of relationships and coming to terms with the fact that not everything in life can be controlled- the band take some of life’s most difficult topics and turn them into enjoyable rock songs, getting you to sing along before your first listen even ends.

The Safest Ledge also use the EP to showcase their ability to switch up their genre- which they do throughout the EP with implementation of classic metetalcore elements- most notably in the EP’s final track and first single, “Runaway.”

A band who are not afraid to step out of their comfort zone to produce great music, The Safest Ledge are an act you do not want to miss out on.

You can stream “The Space Between Words,” now, and be sure to follow The Safest Ledge to stay up to date on all things new music.
