Arizona punk rock trio The Venomous Pink’s newest EP Based on a True Story is the result of a crazy time restricted adventure that only took one take to record. 

While on tour in the pre-COVID era, The Pinks found a small window of time to record a live session with Bridge City Sessions. The live EP, and these tracks, help to bring the live performance energy of The Pinks from stage to recordings. 

This four-track EP features a cover of Joan Jett’s “I Want You,” as well as three other previously released tracks (“Todos Unidos,” “I Really Don’t Care,” and “Hold On”) all of which have been recorded during the Bridge City sessions and breathe new life and energy to these fan favorites. 

The Venomous Pinks create punk music that is addictive, unapologetic, and with a very in-your-face style. By keeping true to their local roots while touring with big names like Masked Intruder and Bad Religion, the trio show that they are a punk rock band through and through. From their style, sound, and live performance energy this trio shows exactly what they are made of at every turn.
