“You’re my guilty pleasure and I don’t feel bad about it.”

If you are looking for a fun, upbeat song about being in love and having no regrets- this track is for you.

Released Friday, “Guilty Pleasure” is the latest single by indie pop band What If Elephants, featuring vocalist Flara K.

Using fun pop rhythms and powerful, harmonic vocals the track shares the story of a couple who still feel giddy butterflies around each other despite having been together for a long time.

And through navigating the concept of guilty pleasures- which are typically seen as things we should be embarrassed about- the band use the track to flip that idea, and to encourage listeners to embrace those simple joys in life- whether it be a partner, a song, or indulging in excessive amounts of ice cream.

“Guilty pleasures, as the expression goes, symbolize things that everyone doesn’t get to see, but that doesn’t mean it’s wrong to enjoy what makes a difference for you,” the band shares.

“We think it’s those little things enjoyed in less public settings that can often have the deepest and long lasting impact.”

“Guilty Pleasure” is the latest single to be released from the band’s upcoming EP Relationship Status.
